Antioch is the furthest east large community in East Bay and sits on the mouth of the San Joaquin River and the delta. Antioch offers a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Its inland location makes housing very affordable and offers the lowest housing prices. Antioch emits a small town feel and warmth that makes it the perfect environment in which to raise children. The streets, neighborhoods and schools are kept safe and drug-free by a thorough police force and a solid foundation of family values. Antioch’s location is also convenient to weekend excursions in the Monterey Peninsula, Tahoe and the Sierras, Yosemite or the Delta in its own backyard. Antioch may be away from San Francisco, but it’s not completely isolated: there is a BART station just one town over in Pittsburg.
