Located on California’s scenic Highway 1 overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Pacifica is a charming beach town. The city is composed of a handful of distinct neighborhoods including Fairmount, Edgemar, Pacific Manor, Westview, Sharp Park, Fairway Park, Vallemar and Pedro Point. Despite being only three miles south of San Francisco, Pacifica retains a small beach town feel. Half of the city is open space and it has various outdoor activities including fishing, hiking, walking, surfing, cycling, running, golfing, and swimming. There are some employment opportunities in Pacifica but most of its citizens work outside the city. In the way of arts and culture, Pacifica is home to unique artists and frequently hosts concerts on the sea. Pacifica is the closest beach town to San Francisco so by living there, you can have the best of both worlds.
